Mimi Flanagan #22

Mimi Flanagan is 1st string, attacking midfielder for Sting 08 ECNL Black under Coach Tatu Pecorari. Striking her first soccer ball at the age of 4, Mimi found her place on the pitch, and 4 years later, she joined Sting Soccer Club where she continues to play today. She has worked hard to improve her skills from weekly one-on-one soccer skills to strength training with a personal coach, Mimi has remained focused on constant improvement in her personal strength and skills. 

Off the field, Mimi has maintained a 4.1GPA at Ursuline Academy of Dallas taking on honors courses as well as achieving membership in the National Honors Society as well as honor roll for 2023-2024. While at Usruline Academy of Dallas, Mimi has played mid-fielder, left defensive back, as well as right and left forward, reinforcing her versatility and proficiency at multiple positions. Her skillset, adaptability and willingness to step into various positions have helped support the team in their achievement of TAPPS State Championships 2 consecutive years, and as such, led to her eventual award of Most Valuable Offensive Player 2023. 

When she is not playing soccer, Mimi volunteers in various organizations such as National Charity League where she received an Outstanding Service Award in 2024, Kits for Hope and One Love. Mimi is a certified Texas Referee in youth soccer games and also interns at a dental office in Dallas to support of career dream of becoming a dentist. Mimi has been described as “effective offensively going after defenders with great tenacity”, “courageous off the dribble”, “able to break the game open with her passing”, energizer bunny, loyal, fun and one who truly knows the meaning of being a team player.
